1. The U.S. Government’s CDC is now recommending that all teens, 13 and up, be tested regularly for HIV at your doctor’s office. Do you think this is a good idea?

We need financial angels who believe in TeenAIDS' common sense and medically accurate approach to curb the rapid rise in youth HIV/AIDS. I am looking for 10 major donors to help me and TeenAIDS counterbalance these major government cuts in youth HIV/AIDS campaigns across the country. Are you the kind of person who can help us help teens and TeenAIDS?
With your help, we can expose this hypocrisy about leaders who say, "yes, we want to help teenagers live healthy lives," but who gleefully support the censorship of biological information in the classroom. TeenAIDS is in the position to help teens in these communities where funding has eliminated critical education through our website and Dr. John's visits to their schools (I don't charge for this outreach so that a school's budget restrictions aren't a problem)...

Somewhere out there in cyberspace, there are people of means who could undertake a "Give or Get" tax-deductible gift of $15,000 a year. Recently, I have become acquainted with this kind of gift giving where people pledge an amount and then are responsible for raising it or giving it themselves. We have recently received one such gift from a grandfather who is concerned about his grandchildren and the conflicting influences they encounter in their daily lives. He understands that even the best parents in the world can't control everything their children do when they leave the house, or know all the young people they meet at the mall, at sports events, in other families' homes, or at clubs.
If schools and county health departments aren't providing complete and honest medical information, then everyone's teens are at great disadvantage. I'll bet you wouldn't believe the kind of talk and behaviors that adolescents share with each other in the hallways, on cell phones and online - even the nicest kids from the finest families. I see and hear it all every day in my travels. More than most, I know that teenagers need factual information.
I have never taken a salary. I volunteer my efforts for two reasons - because I passionately believe my approach is better than the standard fare - and because I want all the money we raise to go to promoting better dissemination of information. But we need your help. C'mon and think about writing that check for a most worthy charity that actually saves lives by preventing HIV before it's transmitted from one more teen to another ad infinitum.
We ask financial angels for their money. In exchange, they get the satisfaction of knowing that young people will have the opportunity to grow into adulthood free of HIV/AIDS - allowing them to become financial angels themselves for other worthy causes in the future.
We ask potential donors to go to our Donate section and take part in the Major Donors' Forum to generate ideas and leads to help us reach our goal of $235,000 this year.
The life you save may be your child's or someone's son or daughter whom you know and love.
