Internship Description:

TeenAIDS-PeerCorps is a well-respected HIV/AIDS non-profit dedicated to saving young lives. We have begun the first public HIV testing of older youth (17-23) in the world using the new FDA-approved home oral swab test kits. It is a tad controversial with some older folf with traditional mind sets (don’t discuss sex and teens in the same breath) but public discourse and testing are absolutely necessary to make sexually active youth aware of their status to prevent transmitting the virus to unsuspecting partners and future babies. We are looking for a very competent, well-spoken, personable and organized college intern or volunteer to run a new national campaign. We might need two people who are team players. This is not an ordinary internship but is for a special person(s) with the skills to organize, coordinate and execute events nationwide. You will work directly with our Harvard expert and Executive Director. The time commitment is 20 hours during regular office hours, Monday – Saturday, 10-4. You can work around classes and paid work. In exchange, you will receive the best reference letter from Dr. Chittick, a former Harvard lecturer that will open doors, a more substantial resume highlighting supervisory skills on a national project and the satisfaction knowing you have done pioneering work helping youth avoid AIDS.

Are you up for a major challenge?

How to apply?

Please contact Dr. John Chittick at 757-352-2055 between 9 am – 10 pm. Email:

We are an all-volunteer 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization distributing information about AIDS to teens locally, nationally, and internationally.
