Internship Description:

TeenAIDS-PeerCorps needs your help! We are an international 501 (c) (3) non-profit looking to revamp and maintain our websiteteenaids.org in coordination with our Web Development Team. Must be familiar with the [[http:WordPress.org|WordPress.org]] platform, and feel comfortable working with various plugins.

Benefits: Although TA-PC is all volunteer (Executive Director included), you will leave with a valuable letter of reference from our Harvard expert as well as a great addition to your resume. Also, you may receive college credit for your time spent here.

Duties include:

Maintain site content – updating, altering and removing as necessary Facilitate communication between Executive Director and Web Development Team regarding both short and long term goals Add to Media library as needed, ensuring that files are optimized for file size Keep track of changes made versus outstanding changes needed to the site Contribute critical feedback and creative suggestions for improvements Empty site cache on a regular basis 4-6 hours per week is needed in the office to meet with the Executive Director, but most work can be done at your leisure.

Qualifications:

Expertise with [[http:WordPress.org|Wordpress.org]] Expertise with SEO, metadata and search optimization Highly organized, able to act as a conduit for information between the physical office and the remote web development team Frequent communication with the TeenAIDS Executive Team (All of us are accessible and willing to work with you) Energetic personality and ability to work with little supervision Ability to think creatively and come up with unique ways of executing goals Familiarity with HTML, CSS and other coding languages is a plus.
